Step 1 — Connect Your Trezor Device
- Unbox your Trezor Model One or Model T.
- Connect the device to your computer using the provided USB cable.
- Open your browser and visit the official start page.
Always ensure the website URL is correct before proceeding to avoid phishing attacks.
Step 2 — Install Trezor Suite
Trezor Suite is the official application used to manage your wallet.
- Download Trezor Suite for Windows, macOS, or Linux.
- Install and launch the application.
- Allow the app to detect your connected device.
Step 3 — Install Firmware
If your device is new, firmware installation is required.
- Trezor Suite will prompt you to install firmware.
- Confirm installation directly on your device screen.
- Wait until the process completes before disconnecting.
Step 4 — Create or Recover Wallet
- Select Create New Wallet to generate a new recovery phrase.
- Select Recover Wallet if restoring an existing wallet.
- Follow on-screen instructions carefully.
Step 5 — Backup Your Recovery Phrase
Your recovery phrase is the master key to your funds.
- Write down the 12/24-word phrase on the recovery card provided.
- Never take photos or store it digitally.
- Verify the phrase when prompted.
Anyone with this phrase can access your funds. Keep it offline and private.
Step 6 — Set a Secure PIN
- Choose a strong PIN using the device screen.
- Confirm the PIN to activate device protection.
Managing Your Crypto
- Add cryptocurrency accounts inside Trezor Suite.
- Send and receive assets securely.
- Confirm all transactions on the device display.
